Most dogs accepted for training are in our program for two to three months.  

• The first month is spent on getting to know your dog, whoa breaking,  introduction 
  to collar, and handling in the field.

• The second & third month are spent on the Texas Covey House, then on wild quail.

• We accept only 7 dogs a month for training.  Dogs are worked  5 days a week.

• Retrieve training is only done during the summer months when wild birds are
   paired up and weather prohibits dog work on birds.  Retrieve training is a two
   to three month program.

• We welcome dog owners to come work with us when your dog is close to being
   ready to come home.  Learn how we handle your dog.  We are always ready to 
  answer your questions and give any assistance you need.

    Big Country Kennel can offer you the total package with our 40 years of experience,
    knowledge and access to wild birds.  The end result an excellent hunting dog you can
    be proud of that will hunt with you and for you.

• Training fee:  $450.00 per month (includes cost of birds and boarding)

• Retrieve Training fee:  $450.00 per month (includes cost of birds and boarding)

• Boarding fee:  $75.00 per month
